Marta de la Rica exemplifies superb sensitivity by transforming a house into a true home; a rectilinear, one hundred percent minimalist chalet with cubic volumes designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, located in a residential neighborhood of Madrid. The owner’s mandate was to bring warmth to a structure that leaned towards coldness in order to create and nurture a family. “It needed a bit of soul,” explains the designer. “Working on a Kogan building is an honor. The architecture of the building was very strong and was designed to be the protagonist. Our job was to dress it in color and warmth without overshadowing its personality.”
