“Every house asks for something; it’s as if they tell you what they need, what they want. And what did this house ask for? A radical makeover,” confesses interior designer Carmen Caubet. The goal was to move away from the dark woods that traditionally clad the houses in this area of the Aran Valley and to embrace light and a more Nordic, lighter style. The house had a good foundation in its favor, and although it asked for a change, the decorator respected the original layout and preserved many elements, bringing out all their natural beauty.
